Our story

We've done this before. As the founders of Catapult International, we spent 10+ years helping freight forwarders, NVOCCs and shippers tame the complexity of ocean rate management. Catapult became a trusted name for teams that lived and breathed carrier contracts.

Then we watched the industry change. Carriers began revising surcharges faster than ever including bunker, peak season, emergency, congestion, low-sulfur, THC’s and every change had to flow through to FMC service contracts. Rate teams fell back on spreadsheets, email alerts and late-night re-keying. Errors crept in, and margin leaked out.

So we came back. HighQube is everything we learned at Catapult, rebuilt from the ground up for the AI era. Same deep domain expertise. A far better experience.

Matt Motsick, CEO

Matt Motsick is the CEO of HighQube and a founder of Catapult International. He has spent over 15 years at the center of ocean freight rate management, working alongside forwarders, NVOCCs and shippers to bring order to complex carrier contracts and surcharges.

At Catapult, Matt saw firsthand how much time rate teams lost to manual updates, and how much margin slipped away when surcharges went unnoticed. In recent years he has focused on applying artificial intelligence to those same problems, from reading carrier notices to keeping contract rates current without human re-keying.

That combination of deep rate management experience and hands-on AI expertise is the foundation of HighQube. Matt built the platform to deliver what he always wanted for customers: FMC contract rates that update themselves, accurate the same day a carrier makes a change.
